The red envelope candy (利是糖) is a staple for Cantonese families during Lunar New Year. The design resembles a red envelope, and because of its accessibility, it’s often used as a symbol of spreading good luck to others. The “Just a Glass of Good Luck” cocktail is a Lunar New Year version of eggnog, with earl grey-infused brandy, house-made yogurt liquor, and syrup made from the red envelope candy to recreate the taste of the candy. The red envelope candy and a 929 red envelope (with a surprise inside for your next visit) are served with the cocktail as a special Lunar New Year set.
